Ashlee Dooley//Senior Wedding Coordinator & Event Stylist
The road to becoming a wedding coordinator was a fun, winding path for me. I was initially turned on to the world of event planning when I was in the Navy and was offered the opportunity to coordinate a Christmas party for our command. The Christmas party was a great success, and I started to coordinate events more frequently. Coordinating events while in the Navy helped to lay a solid foundation for my wedding planning career – I’ve planned everything from intimate events, to larger scale hail and farewell events with 500+ attendees!
I’ve been a member of the LMTS team since 2015, and truly love what I do. I have an eye for detail, and I’m always on the lookout for details that make each event completely unique. I love looking on Pinterest for wedding inspiration ideas, and then sitting down with clients to figure out how we can change it to personalize it for them so it “fits just right”. One of my favorite aspects of being a wedding planner is the opportunity it allows to meet new people (clients and vendors alike!). I enjoy that each wedding is unlike any other, and that there’s always something new to learn.
A little about me:
I’m a San-Diegan through rite of passage. Although I’m not originally from San Diego, I’ve been here since my teen years. Back before I was a wedding planner, I planned a good chunk of my own wedding from a deployment. My husband is Navy as well (luckily we were not both deployed at the same time!), and I’m a very proud Navy wife:) I’m the mother of the sweetest baby girl, and she is the light of my life. I love all things crafty, and I’m a huge fan of all things DIY. I did several DIY projects for my own wedding, and the trend has most recently carried over into personalizing my home space. When I’m not working or crafting, you can also find me brunching (I’m a self proclaimed professional-bruncher!), bargain hunting and scouring cookbooks for my next culinary adventure.
